1. Information We Collect & Use

When you apply to join MARS or subscribe to our newsletter, we collect personal information such as your name, email address, division choices, and academic year. We use student applicant information to verify enrollment and share membership records with the university as required for student society registration and affiliation. All other data is collected solely to evaluate applications and facilitate onboarding.

2. Newsletter Frequency

If you opt-in to our updates, we will send newsletter communications (mission progress, technical breakthroughs, upcoming society events, and general space news) at most once a month. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of our emails.

3. Data Protection & Sharing

We value your trust. We implement security measures to protect your personal information. MARS will never sell, lease, or share your contact details or personal data with any third-party marketing companies, advertisers, or unaffiliated groups.

4. Traffic Tracking & Cookies

We anonymously track website traffic to measure engagement and improve our prospectus. This tracking is fully anonymized-IP addresses are hashed immediately, no visitor profiles are created, and we do not collect or store any personal details. Additionally, we do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies. The only storage technologies used are necessary technical mechanisms for Turnstile spam verification.
